Football Recap: East Bakersfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

East Bakersfield lost against Cabrillo back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blades were beaten by the Conquistadores 42-12. The Blades have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tino Calloway threw for 41 yards on six of nine attempts.

Andre Brisco had a dynamite game For Cabrillo., rushing for 141 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Brisco has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Barraza, who threw for 82 yards and two TDs.

East Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cabrillo, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, East Bakersfield will face off against Foothill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cabrillo, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lompoc at 4:00 p.m. on September 13.
