On Friday Handley McAtee didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. The effort marked the fewest hits McAtee has had since back in May of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her seventh in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the season, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 1.50 over 42 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.551/0.568/0.812 with 38 runs.

Coming up, McAtee and Kennett will venture away from home to challenge Campbell at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, McAtee's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Indians' eight-game streak of wins on the road.
