Xavier Prep came out on top against Cathedral City on Friday thanks in part to Ayden Ruiz's efforts. Ruiz rushed for 81 yards and one score on only 11 carries, which was good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Ruiz and Xavier Prep will take on Yucca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Ruiz up against the Trojans' star rusher Clyde King.
