On Friday, James F. Byrnes took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-18 win over Wade Hampton. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Rebels this season.

Meanwhile, Eastside faced Gaffney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for James F. Byrnes, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
