Basketball Recap: North Sevier Comes Up Short

If North Sevier was feeling good fresh off their 64-43 takedown of San Juan on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Sevier Wolves took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand County Red Devils on Saturday. The match was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolves couldn't quite close it out.

Ainsleigh Kasprick was nothing short of spectacular for Grand County: she went 9 of 14 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Bryant, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

North Sevier has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Grand County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

North Sevier will welcome South Sevier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grand County, they will venture away from home to challenge Duchesne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
