Delran is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Robbinsville is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Meanwhile, Robbinsville's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let Princeton get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Ravens this season.
Lexi Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Lopez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and one RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tuleen Ali and Katie Murphy did most of the damage at the plate: Ali went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Murphy went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Murphy a new career-high. Aubrey Sagar was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Robbinsville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Delran, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Robbinsville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Delran has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460.
