Lafayette Central Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 72-32 win over the North Vermillion Falcons. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.

North Vermillion's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nora Thomann, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, and Cadence Dunham, who posted eight points. Thomann has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times she's played.

The victory (which was Lafayette Central Catholic's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for North Vermillion, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Lafayette Central Catholic will face off against Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Riverton Parke likes a good challenge.
