Volleyball Recap: Forest Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Forest duked it out with The Rock on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

While Forest was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Forest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Owens had 21 digs and three assists. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Owens.

Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for The Rock, the win was the 11th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest will take on The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The Rock, they will venture away from home to challenge Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
