Basketball Recap: Kalama Comes Up Short

Kalama has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Center Wildcats on Tuesday. If the Chinooks were looking for revenge after losing 66-63 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Kalama lost, don't look at Abel Koski. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 12 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Koski's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quin Hahn, who posted eight points and three steals.

Kalama's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for La Center, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Kalama has already played their next contest, a 58-49 loss against Castle Rock on the 16th. As for La Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-43 defeat against Fort Vancouver on the 16th.
