Baseball Recap: Princeton Gets the Win

After losing to LaSalle-Peru the last time they met, Princeton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Cavaliers 5-4.

Princeton's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Smith, who scored no runs while going 1-for-1. Jace Stuckey also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Princeton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for LaSalle-Peru, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Princeton has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Newman Central Catholic on the 10th. As for LaSalle-Peru, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Mendota on the 3rd.
