Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Takes a Loss

Coahulla Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Vincent's Saints.

Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up 12 kills. Norton got some help from Maddy Hambright and her 13 assists. Abby Triplett and Mallory Priest kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Coahulla Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 16-15. As for St. Vincent's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Coahulla Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Columbus on the 20th. As for St. Vincent's, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against McIntosh on the 20th.
