Appleton North entered their tilt with Marquette University on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hilltoppers. This was a revenge game for the Lightning: when they faced off against the Hilltoppers back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Appleton North's offense was headlined by GRANT GABBEY and NATHAN RAMUS, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from SPENCER MUNSON and his eight assists. LANDON KUE controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Appleton North's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Marquette University, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Appleton North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Kimberly on the 27th. As for Marquette University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Catholic Memorial on the 30th.
