Western Alamance picks up sixth straight win at home

Recap: Western Alamance Warriors vs. NCSSM: Durham Unicorns
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern Alamance, the Western Alamance Warriors were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged NCSSM: Durham out 55-52.
Nicholas McGhee was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 19 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was James Newton, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Western Alamance's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for NCSSM: Durham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Western Alamance will look to defend their home court on Friday against Williams at 7:30 p.m. Williams is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. NCSSM: Durham will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against East Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
