Soccer Recap: Woodmont Comes Up Short

Woodmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the J.L. Mann Patriots, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Woodmont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while J.L. Mann are ranked second).

Woodmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for J.L. Mann, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodmont will take on rival T.L. Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, J.L. Mann is set to face off against their familiar foe Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
