Baseball Recap: North Vermilion Falls Short of Brusly in the Playoffs

North Vermilion and Brusly squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but North Vermilion had to settle for second. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for North Vermilion and nudges their season record down to 22-17. As for Brusly, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 34-5-1.

North Vermilion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brusly, they will challenge West Ouachita on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.2, the Chiefs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
