Football Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Waccamaw Warriors

Georgetown is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will face off against the Waccamaw Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Georgetown has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with ten straight losses, while Waccamaw will come in with four straight wins.

Georgetown's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against May River on Friday. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Sharks. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Waccamaw took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-12 victory over Stall. The result was nothing new for Waccamaw, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Waccamaw's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Georgetown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Georgetown ended up a good deal behind Waccamaw when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 36-20. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
