Kennett has gone 9-1 against Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Kennett's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kennett had taken Sikeston down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Indians fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7.

Caleb Duncan and Jaxon Patterson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Duncan scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Patterson went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. Those hits were Patterson's first of the season. Kaiden Prewett was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Jackson 5-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since May 1, 2024.

Kennett's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Everything went Kennett's way against Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Kennett made off with a 12-1 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
