Softball Recap: Western Harnett Eagles vs. Westover Wolverines        
        
		
            
 Western Harnett can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Westover Wolverines  an   18-0 shutout. Western Harnett's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Grace Andersen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out eight batters over  2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Andersen was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Faith Woodard was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.  Madison Wear was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-1.
 The  win (which was Western Harnett's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. They've been dominating during the  matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 13 runs. As for Westover, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
 Western Harnett will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westover: the pair will be back at it again later today.
