Basketball Recap: Wauseon Gets the Win

Wauseon lost to Archbold back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Wauseon Indians snuck past the Archbold Blue Streaks with a 53-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Wauseon pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Archbold, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wauseon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Anthony Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Anthony Wayne will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Wauseon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Archbold, they and Napoleon will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Archbold is facing Napoleon at the right time seeing as Napoleon is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
