Football Recap: Eaglecrest Starts off Right with Win over Rangeview + How To Watch

Eaglecrest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Rangeview Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-6 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-6.

Eaglecrest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Brinkman, who rushed for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 180 yards and two TDs. Another rusher making a difference was Clyde Surrell, who gained 145 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eaglecrest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Eaglecrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zane Jackson and Jayden Bradley.

Looking ahead, Eaglecrest will head out on the road to face off against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 865 yards in their previous games. As for Rangeview, they will welcome Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
