Volleyball Game Preview: Legacy Tigers vs. Bell Eagles

Legacy is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will square off against the Bell Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Legacy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Legacy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Maywood CES 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 6, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Legacy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Bell didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Bell took Franklin into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-13, 24-26, 21-25, 25-15, 15-9.

Bell now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Legacy, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Legacy beat Bell 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Legacy repeat their success, or does Bell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
