Softball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Westminster Christian Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Highland Baptist Christian Bears by a score of 10-7. With that victory, the Chargers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Brylee Nero was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley LeBlanc, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Westminster Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland Baptist Christian only posted an OBP of .387.

With the win, Westminster Christian Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Highland Baptist Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will host Gueydan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Baptist Christian, they will face off against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
