Volleyball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Newport Harbor Sailors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Newport Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marina will challenge Los Alamitos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newport Harbor, they will take on Edison at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
