Liberty is 8-1 against Tarkington since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Liberty has four straight victories, Tarkington has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Tarkington's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Liberty hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Shepherd on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tarkington came up short against Hamshire-Fannett on Friday, falling 16-1.

Tarkington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oakley Blackburn, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Blackburn hit this season. Savannah West was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Liberty pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Tarkington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Everything went Liberty's way against Tarkington in their previous meeting back in March, as Liberty made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
