Basketball Recap: Briar Woods Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Briar Woods had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged the Stone Bridge Bulldogs out 67-65. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 62-42 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Stone Bridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kevin Reyes, who went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Kedric Golston, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Reyes' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Carter Burnes also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

As for Stone Bridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-66 win against Independence on the 21st.
