Softball Game Preview: Dedham Marauders vs. Norwood Mustangs

The Dedham Marauders will venture away from home to square off against the Norwood Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dedham is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Dedham managed to slip by Medway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Marauders came up short against the Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 12-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Alaina Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Norwood couldn't beat Millis on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Mustangs fell just short of the Mohawks by a score of 7-5. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Mohawks: they've now lost six in a row.

Norwood now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Dedham, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Dedham skirted past Norwood 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marauders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
