Football Recap: Conway Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Conway Christian can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the East Poinsett County Warriors. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

East Poinsett County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Blagg, who threw for 126 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown. That's the most passing touchdowns Blagg has posted since back in September. Dee Buchanan helped out on the ground, rushing for 107 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Conway Christian now has a losing record of 5-6. As for East Poinsett County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Conway Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Poinsett County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 61-20 win against Poyen on the 21st.
