Volleyball Game Preview: Tustin Tillers vs. Valencia Tigers

The Tustin Tillers will head out to take on the Valencia Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tustin has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with five straight defeats, while Valencia will come in with four straight wins.

On Wednesday, Tustin didn't have quite enough to beat Laguna Hills and fell 3-2.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Tustin lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 12-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Valencia hadn't done well against Kennedy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers won by a set and slipped past the Fighting Irish 3-2.

Tustin's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Valencia, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5-2.

Tustin couldn't quite get it done against Valencia in their previous meeting on September 11th as they fell 3-1. Can the Tillers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
