Baseball Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss

Lake Placid made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ticonderoga, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bombers fell just short of the Sentinels by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. The Bombers have struggled against the Sentinels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jonathan Caito was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

Lake Placid's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Ticonderoga, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will be taking part in a tournament against AuSable Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ticonderoga, they will head out to take on Beekmantown at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Sentinels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
