Baseball Recap: Challis Gets the Win

Challis posted their closest victory since March 16, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Soda Springs Cardinals, sneaking past 8-7. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

The team relied heavily on James Parker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Jacen Farr was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Challis now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Soda Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Challis has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Idaho City on the 22nd. As for Soda Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-4 loss against Salmon on the 22nd.
