Basketball Recap: Kearny Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Kearny Christian Academy had to suffer through a 70-31 loss at the hands of the Trinity Christian Trailblazers. The contest marked Kearny Christian Academy's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Kearny Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Leo Kargbo, who posted 18 points. That was a full 58.1% of Kearny Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Khan, who went 8 for 18 en route to 17 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. David Tweedie was another key player, going 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points and six boards.

Kearny Christian Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Trinity Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
