Volleyball Game Preview: Seaforth Hawks vs. Northwood Chargers

The Seaforth Hawks will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Northwood Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Seaforth, who comes in off a win.

Seaforth is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Apex Friendship. The Hawks came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Seaforth was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Union Pines, falling 3-0.

While Northwood was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Union Pines' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-15.

Seaforth was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwood in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
