Basketball Recap: Riverfield Country Day Falls Despite Big Games from Anthony Harper and Max Harper

Riverfield Country Day and Wright City squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Riverfield Country Day had to settle for second. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wright City Lumberjax.

Riverfield Country Day's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Harper, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 23 points and four steals, and Anthony Harper, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The game was Max's third in a row with at least 16 points.

Wright City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kase Lindly, who went 8-for-15 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Lindly now owns an excellent 40.1% three-point shooting accuracy. Rayner Beene was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Riverfield Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Wright City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 23-6 record this season.

Riverfield Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wright City, they have already played their next contest, a 60-56 loss against Allen on the 28th.
