Baseball Recap: Kalaheo Find Success

After losing to Kahuku the last time they met, Kalaheo decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs walked away with a 6-3 win over the Red Raiders on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Andrew Taylor was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Gavin Shuford also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Kalaheo now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kahuku, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kalaheo is set to square off against their familiar foe Radford at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kahuku will take on rival Nanakuli at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Red Raiders and four for the Golden Hawks.
