Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont Community Charter). They put the hurt on the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats with a sharp 88-65 win on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 77-73 loss.

Piedmont Community Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Carmichael, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Henry Peprah, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 20 points.

Sugar Creek Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aidan Gatewood, who shot 70% from the field on his way to 15 points. Ashton Gatewood was another key player, going 6-for-8 en route to 15 points.

Piedmont Community Charter's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Sugar Creek Charter, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-11.

Piedmont Community Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 96-63 loss against Queen's Grant on the 21st. Sugar Creek Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
