Basketball Recap: Logan Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Logan extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Hayden Bruhn. The Logan Longhorns enjoyed a cozy 104-87 victory over Fort Sumner/House on Saturday for which the team can thank Bruhn, who shot 5-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double with 37 points and 14 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 41.6% three-point shooting accuracy.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Wallin, who shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards. The match was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

Logan's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Fort Sumner/House, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Logan will challenge Grady at 6:00 p.m. on March 8th. Logan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Grady likes a good challenge. As for Fort Sumner/House, they will face off against Pine Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pine Hill will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Fort Sumner/House surely won't give up without a fight.
