Baseball Recap: Heritage Hills Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Heritage Hills never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lanesville Eagles by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Andersen Smith and Luke Krzykowski did most of the damage at the plate: Smith earned two runs and three stolen bases, while Krzykowski went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Gray, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Heritage Hills hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lanesville struck out eight times.

Heritage Hills' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lanesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Heritage Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Eastern Greene on the 10th. As for Lanesville, they will be playing at home against Crothersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
