Baseball Game Preview: Princeton Day Panthers vs. Manville Mustangs

The Princeton Day Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Manville Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton Day has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Princeton Day is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since April 16th on Saturday. They lost 17-0 to Notre Dame. The game marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Manville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Hillsborough, falling 6-0. Considering the last time the Mustangs couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Manville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The loss snapped Princeton Day's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-12 record. As for Manville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Princeton Day suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Manville when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
