Basketball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Monday. They had to suffer through a 62-27 loss at the hands of the Carmel Corsairs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sequoits of the 62-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Antioch lost, don't look at Heidi Rathmann. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Antioch and nudges their season record down to 10-11. As for Carmel, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14.

Antioch will take on Grant Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carmel has already played their next game (against Buffalo Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
