Volleyball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Comes Up Short

BASIS Flagstaff was the 3-2 winner over Madison Highland Prep when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Yetis fell just short of the Heat by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Yetis' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

BASIS Flagstaff took Madison Highland Prep into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-27, 22-25, 15-9.

BASIS Flagstaff's record is now 2-5. As for Madison Highland Prep, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. BASIS Flagstaff is set to take on their familiar foe BASIS Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Madison Highland Prep will square off against rival Seton Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
