Football Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

If Hillcrest was riding high fresh off their 36-0 takedown of Blue Island Eisenhower on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks lost to the Joliet West Tigers on the road by a 24-6 margin on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 32-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hillcrest is set to challenge their familiar foe Solorio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Joliet West will take on rival Plainfield South at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
