Softball Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Interlachen's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Newberry Panthers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Interlachen's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Newberry, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interlachen will host St. Augustine at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Yellow Jackets at the right time seeing as the Yellow Jackets are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Newberry, they will welcome Williston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
