The Fowler Grizzlies will head out to face off against the Crowley County Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Fowler took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 47-12 win over Walsenburg. Considering the Grizzlies have won three contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Fowler was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walsenburg only rushed for 203.
Fowler didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Demetrius Alvarez, True, and Dominic Armijo picked up one apiece. Armijo is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Crowley County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Thunderbirds, posting a 50-6 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Chargers just coasted through the last quarter.
The win got Fowler back to even at 4-4. As for Crowley County, the victory also got them back to even at 4-4.
Fowler strolled past Crowley County in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 by a score of 14-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fowler since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
