They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Fairfield Christian Academy 63-11 on the road. Given Fisher Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Fairfield Christian Academy is ranked 517th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fisher Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ellie Bruce led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Voni Bethel, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and seven steals.
Fisher Catholic's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.56 points. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
Coincidentally, Fisher Catholic and Fairfield Christian Academy will both be playing Grove City Christian the next time they take the court. Fisher Catholic will host Grove City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fairfield Christian Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
