Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pendleton Heights

Pendleton Heights won the last time they faced Lapel and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pendleton Heights Arabians were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over the Lapel Bulldogs. The Arabians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Pendleton Heights was led to victory by Adah Hupfer and Kaycie Warfel. Hupfer dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards, while Warfel went 9 of 19 on her way to 19 points along with eight boards and six assists. The game was Warfel's 26th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jones, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Despite the loss, Lapel still got an impressive performance from Laniah Wills, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards. Wills is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last seven games she's played.

The win (which was Pendleton Heights' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Lapel, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Pendleton Heights and Lapel's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Pendleton Heights and Alexandria-Monroe (who has only given up 29.76 points per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pendleton Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season. Similarly, Lapel and Sheridan (who has only given up 29.69 points per game) will meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
