Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Crusaders vs. NC GBB Academy National Eagles

The Grace Christian Crusaders will challenge the NC GBB Academy National Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully NC GBB Academy National likes a good challenge.

Grace Christian will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating GRACE Christian, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Grace Christian had just enough and edged GRACE Christian out 73-70.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Nate Jones and Michael Phillips II. Jones had a great game on Monday and posted 22 points. Meanwhile, Phillips II was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 17 boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask NC GBB Academy National). They came out on top against Quality Education Academy by a score of 91-80 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Fighting Pharaohs are ranked 79th).

Grace Christian has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.4 points per game. As for NC GBB Academy National, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
