Basketball Game Preview: Palacios Sharks vs. Hallettsville Brahmas

The Palacios Sharks will head out to face off against the Hallettsville Brahmas at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Palacios is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Palacios was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to Tidehaven. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while the Tigers are ranked 324th).

Meanwhile, Hallettsville lost to Industrial on the road by a 50-35 margin on Tuesday. The Brahmas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palacios' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Hallettsville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Palacios was dealt a bruising 68-38 defeat at the hands of Hallettsville in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Palacios avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
