Moline posted their closest win since April 26th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Assumption Knights, sneaking past 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Maroons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Moline's victory bumped their record up to 18-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moline will host Lake Zurich at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Assumption, they will be playing at home against Benet Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Redwings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
