Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Milpitas couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Brothers Falcons on Tuesday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Milpitas was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Christian Brothers work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-19, 20-25, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Brothers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paolo Trujillo, who had five digs and three aces. Trujillo has been hot, having also posted 16 or more assists the last six times she's played. Isabella Alvarez was another key player, getting 15 digs and one assist.

Milpitas' defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Christian Brothers, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-14.

Milpitas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Brothers, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Clovis West on the 13th.
