Football Game Preview: Palm Beach Lakes Rams vs. Dwyer Panthers

Palm Beach Lakes is 2-8 against Dwyer since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rams will square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Palm Beach Lakes will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Palm Beach Lakes and Wellington, and Palm Beach Lakes kept the tradition alive. The Rams walked away with a 19-12 victory over the Wolverines on Friday.

Palm Beach Lakes can attribute much of their success to Ryan Ferdinand, who picked up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Dwyer fell victim to West Boca Raton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 53-0 defeat at the hands of the Bulls. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Bulls are ranked seventh).

Palm Beach Lakes now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Dwyer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Palm Beach Lakes was dealt a bruising 35-6 defeat at the hands of Dwyer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
